Modcloth Helps You Dress the Part

As I said before, I’m obsessed with Modcloth.com, and I’m especially in love with their selected dresses. The dress I want to talk about is Modcloth’s “Dress the Part” dress. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It was my first Modcloth purchase and I ordered it in January of this year.

One thing I love about this dress is it’s style. It’s modern, but at the same time, it has a classic look to it. The top half of the dress, the bodice, has cream and black horizontal stripes. Even though horizontal stripes are known to make us girls look wider, these neutral pigments are figure flattering and plus horizontal stripes are pretty trendy now. What’s also a plus is that the stripes are not too thick or too thin.

The bottom half of this dress is also amazing. It is slightly pleated and has every girl-on-the-go’s best friend, pockets! The dress as a whole is on the shorter side, but I definitely think it’s suitable for any figure. For those who are taller, I would suggest solid-color leggings as a pairing with the dress.

This dress is also excellent quality. It’s thicker than most two-fer dresses, which makes it durable and great for both summer and fall wear. This dress is also versatile, it can be dressed up or down. I plan on pairing it with a black cropped blazer, a gold charm necklace, black or gold sandals and gold ball stud earrings. Of course, this dress can be paired with almost anything and it would look stunning with a solid colored cardigan (any color would work; I would probably wear a navy one) and some flats. As for accessories, I think a necklace would complete this dress for any occasion.

I absolutely adore this dress and I highly recommend it and styles similar to it. This dress costs $39.99 and it’s a style that’s timeless. It can be that little black dress (with a twist of course) or it can be that casual lunch dress. No matter what occasion, this dress will help you look the part.

Modernize Your Style with Vintage Flare at Modcloth.com

Last week I found the perfect dress for my upcoming senior prom in May. I ordered it from this unique site I found out about two years ago. The minute I found this site I was hooked and I could not get enough of its “daring to be different” fashions. This site is Modcloth.com and it’s where vintage styles meet modern-day fashion.

Modcloth was founded by Susan Gregg Koger. Ever since Koger was in high school, she had a passion for thrift shopping and vintage clothing. She would purchase any great finds she saw, despite their size. These fashions eventually filled up her dorm room. At the age of 17, Koger and her husband (then-boyfriend) decided to start an online shop. Today, Modcloth has expanded, selling vintage pieces and vintage-inspired items from indie designers.

Not only do I love Modcloth for its distinct fashions, but I love that it suits every budget, whether you’re like me and have a high school/college budget and have to spend sparingly or if you’re well established and willing to splurge. No matter how much you spend at Modcloth, you know you’re getting a high quality item that’s fashion forward and one-of-a-kind.

Modcloth sells clothing for both women and men. The site also sells shoes, bags, accessories, vintage items, home/dorm decor, books, cameras, electronics, and many more. Modcloth’s entire inventory is unique and unlike any other items you will find elsewhere. My favorite department on this online store is the dress department. They have dresses for formal events such as prom and weddings and they also have casual dresses as well.

The site also has an amazing customer care service. The service team helps shoppers with just about every concern they have, whether it’s about the fit of an item or with purchasing and shipping. Modcloth also has its own Modstylists who help customers with style advice upon request. They also help you find the perfect item based on your unique style.

This is definitely a site that’s worth a try. If you’re someone who wants to own clothing that’s different than the rest of the crowd, then this is definitely the site for you. Modcloth is online store that I trust and I can surely see myself shopping there for many years to come.
